GLAMERIZING THE LADIES!

This weekend I had the pleasure of spending time with all 6 of my bridesmaids...

We spent part of the day playing dress up at David's Bridal and eventually found the perfect dress!

The dress represents everything we had been looking for..

It is long for evening and black for romance.. it also incorporates the angles found in my dress.

The ladies will also be adorned with FeAtHeRs in their hair for a touch of GLAM!!

Here are photos of the hair decor and dress...

HONEYMOON!!

Today Nathan and I took an adventure to AAA and planned our HoNeYmOoN! We are mutually natural planners so this spontaneous event was a fun escapade for us both!!

After exploring all of our options we booked a 5 day Cruise to the exotic locations of the Grand Caymen Islands and Cozumel, Mexico!

Due to the wedding date of September 4th our scheduled departure date is on September 6th. This will allow us to risk fate and fly home on September 11!!

Knickers for the Boys!

Found the full knickers outfit for the boys on Amazon for $30. . . includes velvet suspenders, bow-tie, and newsboy cap!!

Louis Vuitton

Evidentially, Nate missed the budget memo! He's attempting to convince us that Louis Vuitton is a vital to our Old Hollywood Glam wedding. First the grooms cake. . . now shoes. He insisted they be posted on the blog. So here they are. . . Cheers to shoes that are almost as expensive as the ceremony and reception combined! :)

Wedding Ideas Galore. . .

The past few days we've been scouring the internet for ideas that correlate with our vision for the wedding. Here's what we found:

There will be no flower girl in our wedding. Instead, our three nephews will bear the ring and bell and the flowers will be laid prior to the ceremony. We love the outfit the little boy in the picture below is wearing. Our nephews will likely wear something similar.
These SHOES! Have I mentioned I LOVE feathers?!
This is a great pic of rings in a bed of feathers. . . definitely a must have photo.
These are the invitations my sister stumbled across last weekend. An amazing deal and they correlate well. Several of us ruled out the ticket invites, they were a bit too promish. .
We found a tux designer that we LOVE. . . Seven Unlimited. This is the pinstripe suit we've settled on, now to find someone in the area who rents it.
The damask on the cake below is beautiful and a definite possibility for ours.
The cake in the pic below is great too, as well as the chocolate covered strawberry, and scrollwork table cloth. A mix of black table cloths and scrollwork may add texture to the room.
The centerpiece in the top right of the photo below screams romance and drama. I love it! Especially the black feathers!
These are votives I found at Walmart. We're planning to buy lots of them and fill the room with candlelight.

This is a possible cake flavor sent by my caterer. Mocha Pistachio! So exotic. :)
And here's a couple of other desserts she's been experimenting with for the reception. Nathan decided he wants a Louis Vuitton briefcase for his grooms cake.
Stay tuned. . . more to come!! :)

Wedding Madness

I'm dizzy juggling the details of our ceremony and reception, not to mention the honeymoon. We recently settled on September 4th, 2010 which is over a month earlier than we originally planned. Needless to say, the pressure has intensified.

I decided to post my ideas here in a central location so all those helping me will be on the same page. As my vision for the big day gains greater definition, I'll add more.

Our theme is Old Hollywood Glam. . . black, red, champagne, feathers. . . If you have suggestions, please comment! I'm entirely open to fresh ideas!

A glimpse of Old Hollywood Glam. . .

My bouquet. I love the drama of feathers. I'm planning to incorporate them in the wedding as well.

The cake!

Possible invitation, I think the ticket cordinates with the theme. We haven't settled on it yet.
